Brands, Campaigns & Publications
Twenty years of commercial food photography and video for national brands, restaurant groups, cookbook publishers and magazines, from the Orange County studio.
Orange County is home. I’ve been shooting food here for twenty years, for kitchens that range from a Disneyland dining room to a falafel counter — and none of them want the same light. I bring the lighting, work around live service, and shoot stills and vertical video in the same visit, so your menu, your website and your social all come out of one shoot.
Need a food stylist in Orange County? For restaurant shoots that don’t need a full stylist, I offer touch-up food styling at a reduced rate, with shot design, propping, surfaces and basic props from my own styling kit. When a dish needs to be built or cooked from a recipe, I bring in experienced food stylists I’ve worked with for over 10 years. See food styling →

Brand and campaign questions
Do you work with national brands or only restaurants?
Both. Restaurants are most of the week, but campaign and packaging work for brands like Chipotle, Coca-Cola, Folgers, Tyson Foods and Jack Daniel's has been part of Plate to Pixel since the beginning, and the same lighting and styling standards apply to a taqueria menu.
Can you shoot product and packaging photography?
Yes. Packaging, catalog and e-commerce product photography is shot in the Irvine studio or on location, with a food stylist and prop stylist brought in when the job needs them.
Do you shoot cookbooks?
Yes. Eighteen cookbooks so far, shot in Southern California and on location in Ecuador, Bolivia, Hawaii and Japan. Cookbook work is quoted per project.
Can I use your photos in a magazine or press feature?
Images are licensed for the uses we agree on at booking. Editorial and press use can be added to a restaurant or brand license; see the image licensing page for how that works.
